VoIP SERVICES

FOR YOUR BUSINESS

Used by small and some medium-sized businesses, VoIP (Voice Over Internet Protocol) uses an internet connection to deliver voice communications over digital networks instead of traditional copper wiring.

It works by passing packets of data (being the voice signals), which include the callers and receivers IP address, back and forth at very high speeds to allow for a normal conversation. And when combined with a fast and reliable internet connection, can help to reduce phone bills.

With the NBN being rolled out, VoIP users have access to the internet reliability and speed that is needed to use VoIP effectively in the workplace.

SIP

FOR BUSINESS

SIP (Session Initiation Protocol) is similar to using VoIP, the only difference being that it is used over multiple trunks.

SIP is an application layer protocol that creates, modifies and terminates sessions with multiple participants.

Applications interfacing with this protocol can create two-party (Unicast) or multiparty (multicast sessions.)

It is designed to run real-time multimedia sessions between groups of participants e.g. video and audio multicast meetings, or instant messaging conferences.
